Infrastructure Projects
Supervisor Laureto recapped ongoing flooding issues on Western Ave. during heavy rains and his efforts to secure a gas generator for the pumping stations on Pine Street. He reported that Glen Arbor has now been placed on the list to receive a gas generator. Fire station 1 renovation is ongoing after a brief halt to address a fire wall rating change; a meeting was planned the following week to discuss plumbing changes. The Empire station garage door has been repaired and new doors ordered; construction on a new fire ladder is underway with delivery expected in November.
Other Business
ESAC met August 12 and recommended payment of unpaid checks and payroll; the GLFD Public Budget Hearing is scheduled for 7:00 PM on September 9th. Documents and a proposed amendment to Township Ordinance 1-1998 were reviewed and sent to the township attorney; the issue will return to next month's agenda. The GLFD FY28 draft budget was not yet presented but will be circulated to the Board and public once complete. Trustee Hawley reported the Planning Commission continues work on the Master Plan. Clerk Laureto noted the August election went well; Treasurer Lewis raised concerns about the new zoning administrator and asked Supervisor Laureto to recap his meeting with the ZA.
