Summary

The Commission held elections for 2025 officers. The board reviewed the Township Clerk's proposed 2025 meeting schedule. Hawley moved, supported by Dotterweich, to approve meetings on the first Thursday of each month except July, with no meeting held in July; the motion carried.
The Commission reviewed the Conflicts of Interest Policy with no changes proposed. Dotterweich moved to approve the current policy, supported by Thompson; the motion carried.
The Master Plan review update is pending demographic data from Zoning Administrator Tim Cypher, who was not present at this meeting.
The Commission reviewed Zoning Ordinance v5.1 items: Item #3 (Keyholing), for which Ihme provided a handout and discussion occurred; Item #4 (Accessory buildings), with no discussion; and Item #5 (Shipping container use), where members discussed condensing the language into table form.
Hawley reported on the December Township Board meeting: Bob Petrosky was sworn in as a new firefighter, bids are being taken to replace the 16-year-old Town Hall front doors that do not lock properly, Lance Roman, Dave Burton, and Andy Dotterweich were reappointed to the Planning Commission, Township Hall gutters were repaired, and the Board is considering repaving the back parking lot.
Action Items
Ihme will bring a finished keyholing proposal to the February Planning Meeting. Hawley will contact the county inspections department regarding regulations on shipping container use. Members agreed that proposed Ordinance Items 1 (word meaning), 2 (fences), and 3 (keyholing) will be reviewed for final approval at the February GAPC meeting, with a possible public hearing scheduled for March.
