Because Glen Arbor residents may be buried at the cemetery at resident rates, the township agreed to contribute toward repaving. Motion by P. Laureto, supported by J. DePuy, to contribute 40% of the cost of new asphalt roads and have the Supervisor send a letter confirming this commitment and reiterating Glen Arbor's desire to be included in discussions of future capital projects before contracts are signed. Motion carried unanimously.
Other Business
The Emergency Services Advisory Commission reviewed the monthly checklist and payroll, recommending the board pay outstanding checks and payroll. Fire Chief operations report (Capt. Dykgraaf) noted 45 calls in November, 282 training hours completed, boiler maintenance and winter prep finished, and a new plow installed on the new truck. The department is transitioning fire reporting systems from NFIRS to NERIS effective January 1. County fire departments will replace radios within the next year, with model selection underway. Zoning Administrator and Assessor reports were submitted in writing. Supervisor Laureto's nominations for board positions were presented and approved by roll call vote: Bill Freeman reappointed to the Zoning Board of Appeals (3-year term, effective January 1, 2026); Bill Thompson and Bob Ihme reappointed to the Planning Commission (3-year terms, effective January 1, 2026). All votes carried unanimously with B. Hawley, J. DePuy, and P. Laureto voting aye; D. Lewis and T. Laureto absent. No Planning Commission report was given due to Hawley's absence from that meeting.
