Parks and Recreation Matters
At Braman, staff met with a group regarding Mountain Bike Trails and continued ongoing skate park ramp maintenance. At Buster Dame Park, water was turned on, the bathroom opened, and sprinklers made operational. At Peterson Park, a historical marker was installed, vault toilets were pumped out, and staff noted a large amount of dead grass near the pavilion on the southwest end of the park. At Omena Beach, a historical marker was installed. At Christmas Cove, the vault toilet was pumped out. The township also coordinated with Northport Village to add gravel to Braman Hill Road as part of ongoing maintenance.
Other Business
At the Airport, water was turned on at the hangar building, vault toilets were pumped out, and the sliding hangar door was adjusted to compensate for decay. Cemetery spring cleanup was completed, and a new flagpole line was installed at Omena Cemetery. At Township Hall, staff aided in removal of a closet in the entryway and a new bathroom exhaust fan was installed. The township started the process to receive bids for a Green building addition.
