Infrastructure Projects

Pam Laureto also reported that electrical issues with the Township Hall parking lot lights have been repaired.

The Board discussed after-hours use of the Township Hall; a resident has volunteered to serve as an Ambassador and set up a weekly time slot for public gym use. Supervisor Laureto informed the Board that Empire Township is pursuing a new road at the Maple Grove Cemetery, prompting discussion of whether this would be a Capital Improvement or Operational Cost; Treasurer Lewis and Clerk Laureto will request a meeting with Empire Township board members for clarification. The Board adopted Resolution No. 15-2025, the GLFD Cost Recovery Schedule of Charges and Charge Descriptions, by roll call vote: Aye – D. Lewis, P. Laureto, T. Laureto; Nay – none; Absent – J. DePuy, B. Hawley. No Planning Commission report was given due to Trustee Hawley's absence. Fire Chief Capt. Dykgraaf reported 49 calls in October, a 4-year anniversary for Paramedic Ruth, a tour of the new Cherry Republic warehouse, attendance at the Glen Lake School Fall Festival, a presentation for the Glen Arbor Women's Club, winterization of the 9/11 memorial, replacement of Engine 311's power steering, and use of new scheduling software.

Cash on hand as of 10/31/25: General Fund $965,925.99; Emergency Services Fund $1,432,628.28; GLFD Debt Service Fund $7,322.44; Fisher Lake SAD Fund $49,692.23; Tax Collection Fund $229,663.98. General Fund bills (10/22/25–11/14/25) totaled $14,725.80 with October payroll of $27,099.16, approved by the Board. Emergency Services bills (10/15/25–11/11/25) totaled $43,471.78 with October payroll of $170,563.69, also approved. The Township received a $2,500 risk reduction grant for boat ramp security cameras.
