Executive Board Session (Holmberg Land Survey)

This document is a Peer Group Member Agreement between the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners (Board) and Holmberg Land Survey (Contractor) for surveying, monumentation, and remonumentation projects in Leelanau County during the 2025 calendar year. The County has a Grant Agreement with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs to conduct this work.

The Contractor agrees to serve on the County’s Peer Group, attending meetings to review and approve surveying work performed by other licensed surveyors. The Contractor will be compensated at $400 per meeting, not to exceed $800 total. The agreement outlines the scope of services, compensation, and the independent contractor status of the Contractor.

Key provisions include the requirement for the Contractor to maintain their Professional Land Surveyor license in Michigan, the prohibition of association with other Peer Group members, and compliance with all applicable laws and the Grant Agreement. The agreement also addresses non-discrimination, indemnification, and various certifications. The agreement period is from July 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, with potential extensions.

The agreement also covers topics such as conflict of interests, media releases, disclosure of litigation, waivers, modifications, assignment or subcontracting, and termination. The agreement includes a severability clause in case any provision is deemed invalid.
