This document contains the agenda for the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners meeting on October 8th, 2024, along with supporting materials including the 86th District Court Annual Report for 2023, the Leelanau County Energy Futures Task Force report, and a proposed resolution.

The 86th District Court Annual Report provides an overview of the court’s activities, including caseloads for criminal/traffic, civil, and probation divisions, as well as financial data, and statistics on specialty courts (Sobriety and Drug Courts). It also details the court’s accomplishments, staffing plan, and challenges. The Leelanau County Energy Futures Task Force report summarizes the Task Force’s activities since its formation in September 2023, including grant applications for solar projects and energy studies, educational outreach, and recommendations. The agenda also includes discussion of the Leland Dam pedestrian bridge repair bids.

The agenda items include the approval of minutes and the agenda, along with updates from the Administrator, the 86th District Court, and the Energy Futures Task Force. Consent agenda items include various grant acceptance, approval of the Leelanau County Apportionment Report, and appointments to various boards. Action items include the termination of a Brownfield Plan, a T-Mobile Bill of Sale, and contract awards. The Board will also review financials.

The document also includes a proposed Intergovernmental Agreement with Leelanau Township for the construction of a communication tower and a 2% Funds Application form from Habitat for Humanity Grand Traverse Region.
