a. VSB-2025-13 On Street Parking-St Marys Street
– The Village has selectively eliminated grass buffer strips along various streets to provide on-street parking, which has led to water-related complaints.
– The committee is discussing short-term and long-term solutions for the on-street parking issue on St. Marys Street, as it will undergo a waterline replacement project in the next 2-5 years.
– The staff recommends converting the perpendicular parking area to parallel parking and adding pervious safeguards as a short-term solution, and incorporating a long-term solution during the waterline replacement project.
