Regular Meeting (Minutes)

The Charter Township of Elmwood held its regular board meeting on February 10, 2024, at the Township Hall, with Supervisor Shaw presiding. The meeting commenced at 6:00 p.m. and included the Pledge of Allegiance and roll call, confirming the presence of all board members. The consent calendar, encompassing various department and committee reports, minutes, and invoices from January 1 to January 31, 2025, was unanimously approved. The agenda was modified to include an attorney presentation and a resolution for the Par Plan Grant, both of which were approved by the board.

During the meeting, Attorney Bryan Graham announced his retirement and introduced Catherine Kaufman from the municipal firm Bauckham, Thall, which will take over his clients at the same rates for the first year. New business included discussions on marina matters, with Supervisor Shaw proposing a temporary solution for showers at the marina using a nearby gym. The board tabled further discussion on marina WiFi due to high costs. The AT&T lease renewal was approved after the representative indicated urgency in renewing the lease. Fire Chief Keith Tamps presented a resolution to apply for a grant from the Par Plan to purchase light curtains for truck bay doors, which was unanimously supported. The meeting concluded with the approval of invoices totaling $235,388.88 and adjourned at 6:59 p.m.
