Regular Meeting (Minutes)

The Elmwood Charter Township Board convened its regular meeting on January 13, 2025, with Supervisor Shaw presiding. The meeting covered routine administrative items, including the approval of the consent calendar (excluding the Fire Report), agenda modifications, and departmental reports. Key decisions included the adoption of the 2025 Poverty Exemption Resolution and the Capital Improvement Plan for 2025-2031.

Significant actions taken by the Board involved the Fire Department’s request to purchase a new ATV and a skid unit, both of which were approved. The Harbormaster presented updates on marina projects and proposed several items for consideration, including pier repairs, Wi-Fi services, and summer dry dock plans. The Board approved the purchase of a cooler for the marina and delegated hiring and firing authority to the Harbormaster with oversight by the Supervisor. The Board decided to maintain the status quo for the Marina Committee.
