In his current role as task force commander, he oversees drug teams across 19 counties, ensuring efficient investigative services, utilizing resources effectively, and improving interaction with drug treatment and prevention programs.

He holds a Bachelor’s in Organizational Management and an MBA with a concentration in Strategic Leadership from Spring Arbor University, which he leverages in his leadership style. His current duties involve ensuring compliance with contracts and laws, overseeing personnel, managing grant funds, and crafting budgets. He has resolved conflicts, improving working relationships and organizational goals.

Belcher’s objective as administrator is to be an active, visible, and inspirational leader, focusing on responsible governance, fiscal solvency, and proactive services for Leelanau County.
