In April 2024, Kasson Township issued a total of 10 land use permits, contributing to a year-to-date total of 13 permits. The permits issued in April included a variety of uses such as accessory buildings, signage, and solar arrays, with a total revenue of $750.00 from these permits. Notable projects included the construction of a 1,820 sq ft Quonset-type accessory building by Parker and a 2,400 sq ft accessory building by Gabourie. Additionally, T Mobile was granted a permit for a concrete pad and generator installation, while Aylsworth received approval for three ground-mounted solar arrays totaling 1,575 sq ft.

The Zoning Administrator’s report for April 2024 highlighted the diversity of projects and inquiries handled during the month. Apart from the land use permits, the township processed one special land use permit and responded to inquiries related to land divisions and property line adjustments. The report also noted that 14 construction inspections were conducted, and one violation investigation is currently in process regarding yard junk cleanup. The Zoning Administrator, Timothy A. Cypher, was actively engaged in providing information to the community, handling 45 phone calls and 28 emails.
